General Policies for Use of Nutrition Services Facilities

Groups using the Center cannot hire other catering agencies or bring in their own food or beverages. Groups that do not adhere to this policy will be charged at the same rate for all items brought in to the center at SBCUSD CATERING rates.

In accordance with our food and safety guidelines, no food can be released to guests to take outside of the building after an event.

Orders and Guarantees

In order to meet food-ordering deadlines, all menu choices must be completed two (2) weeks prior to the event.  This includes type of service and menu choices.

Final counts and catering orders MUST be guaranteed before noon, FOUR (4) BUSINESS DAYS preceding the event.

All food prepared for event based on finalized catering counts and orders will be charged for in full, including any food items not eaten at the event.

Minimum Orders

A food/catering order of at least $50.00 is required for delivery.

Note: Minimum orders are associated with some specific menu items and catering setups, e.g., a minimum of 25 people is required for buffets; 15 is required for plated entrees. For smaller groups, please consult the Senior Caterer.

Catering Cancellations

No catering charges are applied if cancellations to food items or events are made at least ten (10) business days or two (2) full weeks prior to the first day of the event.

If catering items or events are cancelled between six (6) and nine (9) business days prior to the date, groups will be charged 20% of their order If catering items or events are cancelled between three (3) and five (5) business days prior to the date, groups will be charged 50% of their order No refunds will be made if cancellations are made fewer than three (3) business days prior to the event.

Vendor order cancellation/rescheduling requests made less than ten (10) business days in advance will accrue $30 charge to cover administrative cost. 

 

Pricing

Our Full Catering Services Menu contains the description and prices for all of our food and catering services, including details about special packages that are designed to simplify the planning process. Additional charges will apply for specialty items, or off-menu items requested based on market value.

 

Unless otherwise specified, the normal setup for events includes plastic plates and utensils, and other basic supplies for food service. If china and flatware is desired, there is an additional charge of $3.00 per person. If linen is desired, there is an additional charge, as listed on the site. Specialty linen will require an additional charge.

SBCUSD Catering is a Monday through Friday, 7 am-4 pm catering operation. Weekend events and after-hours events will require an overtime charge of $235 per person per four hours or portion thereof. Please contact your Senior Caterer with any questions regarding this policy. 

Delivery Fees

$25 delivery fee will be applied to all orders

A $35 delivery fee will be applied to all Amapola orders.
